Along with its on-going medical programs, BAPS provides medical care and treatment to communities in wake of natural disasters. Medical professionals rush to the scene of natural disasters to around the world in just a few short hours and provide immediate and long-term medical care to thousands of people. BAPS also works with BAPS Charities and other international relief organizations to provide medicines and medical equipment to disaster-struck areas. During the Gujarat Earthquakes in 2001, BAPS and BAPS Charities partnered with City Hope to airlift and distribute 2 million dollars worth of medicines to the hardest hit villages of Kutch. Those medicines helped many lives.
