Welcome to Swaminarayan Vidyapith, Karamsad
Bhagwan Swaminarayan was one of the torch bearers for women’s empowerment and education at the onset of the 19th century. Women of the Swaminarayan faith were educated and hence were amongst the first teachers when education for girls was introduced by the Gaekwad of Baroda. The fabric of education, which involves weaving of para(divine),with apara vidya (wordly), helps build a complete composite individual. By this, the person understands what to abstain from and what to sustain. This has led to the conceptualisation of the institution, ‘Swaminarayan Vidyampith’ the first contribution to society by Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
