The BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha and its sister organization, BAPS Charities, work together to help those in need. Our humanitarian efforts reach people from all over the world and from all walks of life. We address real problems with real solutions, providing practical solutions to the global issues facing education, the environment, and healthcare. We pioneer initiatives large enough to affect an extensive difference yet personal enough to individually impact the lives of individuals.
The services we have organized, among others, include recycling 7 million aluminum cans, freeing 700,000 individuals from addiction and substance abuse in just 15 days, planting 10 million trees and providing free medical treatment to 2.5 million tribal community members. The energy behind this dedication, and its powerful results, is the Spirit of Service. A force of over
55,000 volunteers networked in
5025 communities, dedicating 15 million volunteer-hours annually, does not simply serve. We perform seva. We see God in each individual to whom we extend a helping hand; we serve God residing within each individual. This is the Spirit of Service.
