In the evening assembly the students of 'Pramukh Swami Vidya Mandir' - a primary school, presented speeches in Sanskrit and Gujarati, a dance and a march and a drama depicting life in a gurukul. Finally, Swamishri addressed the assembly.

At 5.10 p.m., Swamishri got news of the terrorist attack in Akshardham monument, Gandhinagar. (For details see special report).

Pujya Shastriji Maharaj Shraddh festival was cancelled and instead prayer-assembly was held in honor of those who had died and were injured in the terrorist attack in Akshardham.


26 September 2002 (V.S. 2058, Bhadarva vad 5),Thursday, Sarangpur
Various dignitaries and leaders of different communities came to offer their condolences to Swamishri for the attack in Akshardham.
The Defence Minister of India, Shri George Fernandes, arrived to offer his condolences.


27 September 2002 (V.S. 2058, Bhadarva vad 5) Friday, Sarangpur
Heads various of Muslim community came to meet Swamishri from Amdavad and offer their condolences and condemned the terrorist attack in Akshardham.


29 September 2002 (V.S. 2058, Bhadarva vad 7) Saturday, Sarangpur, Amdavad, Gandhinagar
o Swamishri arrived at 11.00 a.m. at the Civil Hospital in Amdavad and for 1.1/2 hrs individually blessed all the injured victims of the terrorist attack in Akshardham. (See detailed report.)
o In the evening from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m., a memorial assembly was held in the presence of Swamishri to pay tribute to all those who had died in the terrorist attack. (See detailed report).

30 September 2002 (V.S. 2058, Bhadarva vad 8) Monday, Gandhinagar
At 5.50 p.m., Swamishri visited the Civil Hospital in Gandhinagar and blessed the injured victims of the terrorist attack.
