On behalf of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, Brahmavihari Swami was honored with the Asmita Mahasanman Award 2026, one of Gujarat’s most prestigious recognitions celebrating individuals whose contributions have enriched society and elevated the cultural and social identity of the state.
The award was presented by the Honorable Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, at a distinguished ceremony that brought together eminent personalities from diverse fields, recognizing their exceptional achievements and lasting contributions to society.
Brahmavihari Swami was honored for his outstanding contributions to spirituality, humanitarian service, interfaith harmony, and the global promotion of Indian values and culture through BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. Over the years, he has represented BAPS and Hindu values at international forums, fostered dialogue among communities and faith traditions, and guided numerous humanitarian, educational, and social initiatives benefiting people across the world. His leadership has also been instrumental in landmark projects such as the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi and various international relief and community service efforts.
The ceremony also honored other distinguished personalities, including entrepreneur Halkubhai Patel, renowned folk singer Farida Mir, acclaimed playback singer Aishwarya Majmudar, literary figure Dr. Devdanbhai Patel, educationist Rangjibhai Thakor, environmental conservationist Mohanbhai Thummar, industrialist Mukesh Patel, and other eminent contributors from the fields of arts, culture, education, industry, and public service.
Accepting the honor, Brahmavihari Swami dedicated the award to Bhagwan Swaminarayan, His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, and the countless volunteers and devotees of BAPS who selflessly serve society.
