BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London – popularly known as ‘Neasden Temple’ – has once again been honoured with the prestigious Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award.
Tripadvisor, the world’s largest travel guidance platform, hosts more than 1 billion reviews and opinions covering millions of attractions, restaurants, and places of interest. Each month, more than 450 million travellers turn to Tripadvisor to help plan their journeys.
The Travellers’ Choice Award for 2025 places the Mandir amongst the top 10% ‘things to do’ in the world from more than 8.7 million attractions, experiences, hotels, restaurants, and other places covered on its listing.
The winners of the award are determined by the quality and consistency of reviews and ratings shared by visitors over the past 12 months. As explained by Tripadvisor, the award means that the Mandir has received “consistently great reviews” and is among places that “consistently demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence.”
Shivani Patel, a leading BAPS volunteer, said, “We feel humbled that so many people have taken the time to share their experiences of the Mandir. For us as volunteers, the joy comes from seeing families and visitors of all backgrounds appreciating not just the beauty of the building, but also the values it represents – peace, devotion, service, and community. It is heartening to know that what His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj envisioned when creating the Mandir continues to resonate with people from around the world.”
Niraj Rao, another leading volunteer at the Mandir, added, “His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj always reminds us that true spirituality is expressed through service. Every visitor who walks through these doors is welcomed with that spirit of humility and warmth. This award is really a reflection of their experiences – moments of peace, inspiration, and connection – which they’ve kindly chosen to share.”
