BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha was presented the ‘City of Wanneroo Australia Day Community Group Award’ and ‘La Trobe Australia Day Award 2020’ for its outstanding contributions to both communities.
While presenting the ‘City of Wanneroo Australia Day Community Group award’, Mayor Tracey Roberts stated, “BAPS volunteers work tirelessly to enrich the community, offering support and help through a range of outreach programs. The committed volunteers have rallied the community to support causes including Clean Up Australia Day, the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the annual ‘food can’ drive to support the Spiers Centre and Salvation Army.”
Hon. Jason Wood, Federal MP for La Trobe and Assistant Minister for Customs, Community Safety and Multicultural Affairs, presented the ‘La Trobe Australia Day Award 2020’ for the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha’s tremendous contributions to the community in Melbourne’s south-east region.
