With the blessings of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, the tireless dedication, unwavering faith, and relentless efforts of the devotees in Jersey City reached a momentous milestone on September 24, 2023. The bhumi pujan ceremony marked the sanctification of the site for the new Mandir. This joyous occasion was presided over by Sadguru Pujya Tyagvallabhdas Swami, swamis and devotees from New Jersey.
The Jersey City, North Bergen, and Hoboken region has been blessed by the vicharan (spiritual visits) of Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj over the years. As the community and devotees have grown, the existing facilities have become insufficient to meet the expanding needs of the Hindu-American community in terms of cultural, social, and religious activities. Therefore, the construction of the new Mandir was imperative to address these evolving requirements.
The bhumi pujan ceremony included a traditional ritual that blessed the land amid Vedic chants, Ishtika Pujan, and prayers for peace and well-being to prevail throughout the local community. His Holiness Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj performed Ishtika Pujan on September 23, 2023.
On Bhumi Pujan Day, September 24, 2023, the Vedic mahapuja began with prayers. In his address, Pujya Tyagvallabhdas Swami provided motivation and encouragement to volunteers and worshippers, urging them to collaborate and work collectively to bring Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj's vision to fruition.  Additionally, Pujya Nilkanthsevadas Swami and Pujya Haridarshandas Swami delivered inspiring words that resonated with the hearts of all attendees.
The new Mandir will serve as a vibrant hub for a wide range of cultural, social, and religious activities, catering to the needs of the Hindu-American community. It will also become a central location for community service initiatives, further strengthening the bonds of unity and benevolence among the devotees.
