On Saturday 7 February 2026 at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Leicester, and on Sunday 8 February 2026 at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London, more than 750 yuvaks and yuvatis gathered for a one-day winter shibir titled ‘Sadhuta: Vartan Vatu Karshe’.
The uplifting programme focused on cultivating saintliness in everyday life, guided by the inspiring words of Mahant Swami Maharaj, who lovingly wrote: “Always fill one’s work with the fragrance of sadhuta.”
Rooted in these teachings and the living example of Mahant Swami Maharaj, the shibir inspired yuvaks and yuvatis to place character before skills and allow the fragrance of saintly virtues to infuse their every action.
Session 1: Humility & Tolerance
Through visual presentations, skits and inspiring discourses, participants explored the first pillar of sadhuta – humility and tolerance. Speakers shared that true greatness lies not in recognition but in quiet saintliness. Live acts and the spoken word connected these virtues to everyday life, encouraging reflection on tone of speech, unseen seva, and genuine respect, followed by guided introspection.
Session 2: Adherence to Agna and Niyam-Dharma
The second session focused on building strength and stability through the observance of niyams. Presentations highlighted how inner peace grows when life is rooted in niyam-dharma. Drawing on Mahant Swami Maharaj’s guidance to “be fearless, courageous and stable,” speakers illustrated how these qualities help us navigate modern challenges with strength drawn from niyam-dharma. Interactive elements, sant panels, and devotional kirtans brought these teachings to life.
Session 3: Truthfulness, Purity and Faith
The final session centred on the living embodiment of sadhuta, Mahant Swami Maharaj. Through heartfelt talks and discussions, yuvaks and yuvatis reflected on his humility, selfless love, and purity of heart. The virtues of niswarth prem and shuddhabhav were conveyed powerfully, culminating in the message that firm faith in the Satpurush is the master key to developing all aspects of sadhuta.
A Lasting Fragrance of Sadhuta
Marking the day’s message in a deeply meaningful way, each participant received a memorable gift – pendas prepared using kesar (saffron) lovingly sanctified by Mahant Swami Maharaj himself. As the living embodiment of sadhuta, his touch transformed the pendas into a powerful symbol, showing that as the sanctified saffron becomes part of us, may sadhuta take root and flourish within each heart. Carrying the sweetness of the moment and Swamishri’s blessings, participants departed inspired to fragrance every aspect of their life with his divine virtues.
