Devotees celebrated the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Shri Krishna at BAPS Mandirs across North America. Attendees sang kirtans praising the life and work of Bhagwan Shri Krishna, immersed themselves in spiritual discourses by swamis, and watched children and youth perform dances to celebrate the occasion. As a symbol of devotion and forbearance, many young and old devotees held a waterless fast to commemorate this auspicious day.
His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj inspired the celebration of such Hindu festivals to keep teachings, culture, and traditions alive; His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj continues to emphasize the importance of carrying on this legacy to nurture these invaluable teachings in future generations. Bhagwan Shri Krishna’s life imparted lessons on cultivating unflinching faith in Bhagwan and building a moral character. Attendees left inspired to apply these same messages in their own lives.
