The UK National Yuvak-Yuvati Mandal Shibir was held in the presence of Sadguru Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami on Sunday 11 September 2016 at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London.

Entitled ‘Je Je Hari e Karyu Het’, the event brought together over 1,000 youths from across the country for an insight into Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s unconditional, universal love.

After the traditional opening, Ishwarcharan Swami explained how Swamishri’s love inspired youths to lead spiritually enriching lives. He also encouraged all to show their gratitude by imbibing Swamishri’s virtues.

Yogvivek Swami addressed the audience thereafter, exploring the finer details of Swamishri’s love for his devotees as conveyed through his letters, visits and personal meetings. He drew parallels to the love that Bhagwan Swaminarayan and his spiritual successors similarly showered upon devotees.

Sadhus and youths shared their life-changing experiences of Swamishri’s love in an emotive session either side of the lunch break. The heart-warming testimonies provided an insightful glimpse into Swamishri’s special connection with his devotees. This was enhanced throughout the day with several inspiring video presentations of Swamishri.

In the afternoon, delegates shared their thoughts during a group discussion session, when many individual and personal memories were further invoked.

Yogvivek Swami addressed the assembly again and spoke of Swamishri’s silent service and humble nature. He also illustrated, with lucid examples, Swamishri’s complete oneness with his gurus that was prevalent throughout his life.

Ishwarcharan Swami brought together the key messages and teachings of the day in his concluding speech. In particular, he emphasised that the path of spiritual enlightenment continues through the guidance of the pragat Satpurush, Param Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj.

Participants departed the shibir thoroughly energised from the loving memories of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
