The North America mahila mandal celebrated Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s 95th birthday with great excitement and enthusiasm. Young girls and women of all ages came together to offer their devotion through bhajans, cultural performances and dances at mandirs across North America in hosting the event, Pramukh Swami ni Jivan Bhavana, meaning Pramukh Swami’s life virtues. As the guru of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s compassion and spiritual guidance is celebrated by devotees around the world on his birthday.
Pramukh Swami Maharaj is a model of bhakti, his devotion to Bhagwan Swaminarayan and his gurus is a source of inspiration for all. Motivated by the love that Pramukh Swami Maharaj has shown to others throughout his lifetime, the women leveraged samp and samjan in orchestrating the performance from conception to execution. The women of BAPS North America share in their unwavering commitment to supporting Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s life’s work through advancing mahila activities. The celebration festivities brought together women of broad communities, encouraging them to reflect upon their spiritual connection to Bhagwan and pay respect to the role of a guru in strengthening that bond over time.
By coming together and working hard to create these programs, the North America Mahila mandal exemplified a few of Pramukh Swami’s many virtues to commemorate Pramukh Swami ni Jivan Bhavana.
