In marking the 94th birthday of guru, Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the Mahila Wing of BAPS North America conveyed their sentiments of devotion with a celebration centered on the theme, "Ek phool amaaru swikaro.” Women of all ages presented programs at BAPS Mandirs across North America.

Through a series of skits and kirtans, the program expressed the devotees’ pure sentiments. The offering asked that just as a flower transcends its fragrant scent and colorful appearance to beautify its surroundings, let our character reflect that of our guru’s with selflessness, humility, understanding, and compassion towards all. Furthermore, the theme delved on inspiring devotees to serve God at his holy feet, just like a flower.

Elements of the program evoked the cherished memories of Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s trip to Robbinsville, New Jersey this past summer.  It allowed the attendees to relive the peace and joy they experienced in his presence. In offering their appreciation for his tremendous efforts and sacrifice in making the journey, devotees resolved to reflect their guru’s ideal qualities in their interactions and in all aspects of their lives. The program itself echoed his message of unity and togetherness of all devotees. Attendees left with an understanding that unity is the result of a goal of pleasing their beloved guru, Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
