An Integrated Earthquake Relief Meeting was held in the presence of saints at Shree Swaminarayan Haveli. Thousands attended this meeting to pledge their support for BAPS relief projects. Mr Surendra Kumar, Consul General Of India; Mr. Rod R. Blagojevich, Member of Congress; Mr. Dan Wagner, Chief of Asst to Chairman of DuPage County Board; Mr. Niranjanbhai Shah, CEO, Globetrotter; Mr. Naren Desai, President - Pharmacist Association; Hon. Friar Lauren, Church Of Resurrection; Mr. Shankar Pillai, Chinmaya Mission; Mr Usman Baxi, Gujarat Muslim Association and representatives from more than 20 associations were present. Everyone endorsed their support for BAPS because the dedication of volunteers was outstanding and their services "without any administrative cost" is really unique.
Everyone felt that the commitment of BAPS volunteers who had been standing on the streets to collect funds, even in the freezing temperatures of the windy city is unparallel.
