On August 19, 2000, His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj inaugurated the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Beltsville, MD. Over the past 25 years, the Mandir has flourished as a spiritual home for devotees across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region—serving as a center of devotion, cultural identity, and community service.
To commemorate this milestone, the Mandir celebrated its Silver Jubilee from September 12 to 14, 2025, with a series of devotional and cultural programs.
The celebrations began on the evening of Friday, September 12, with an uplifting Kirtan Aradhana that inspired reflection, devotion, and gratitude for the Mandir and Guru. On Saturday morning, September 13, families from across the region gathered for a collective Parivarik Ekta Mahapuja, strengthening unity and reaffirming shared spiritual values. That evening, youths and children presented a vibrant cultural program themed “Mandir: A Gift That Keeps Giving.” Through drama, dance, speeches, and music, they conveyed the Mandir’s enduring role as a home for all and a source of timeless values for future generations.
On Sunday morning, September 14, devotees assembled for the sacred ‘Patotsav Ritual’, a sacred ceremony commemorating the anniversary of the murti consecration. Swamis performed the ceremonies in the presence of dignitaries, community leaders, and well-wishers.
The three-day celebration concluded that afternoon with a heartfelt Women’s Celebration themed “Mandir: The Untold Stories,” honoring the devotion, sacrifice, and contributions of women in nurturing families and sustaining satsang through the generations.
The Silver Jubilee was both a commemoration and a reflection—a time to look back on the Mandir’s remarkable journey from its humble beginnings in 2000 to its place today as a vibrant hub of satsang, seva, and unity. It also set the stage for the Mandir’s continued role in inspiring faith and service for decades to come.
