Pujya Swayamprakashdas Swami (Doctor Swami) and a group of swamis visited the Asia Pacific Region under the auspices of the Pramukh Swami Maharaj Centenary Celebrations and to nurture satsang and foster values in devotees in Australia and New Zealand.
During this tour, Pujya Doctor Swami gave daily morning discourses while evening satsang assemblies were themed on various topics from Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s teachings, which included speeches by swamis, videos and discourses by Pujya Doctor Swami.
One of the major highlights was a grand celebration of Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s centenary, focusing on the life and work of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. The program featured dances and an eye-opening thematic drama performed by children and youth. Pujya Doctor Swami delivered his blessings on family values and the importance of ghar sabha (family assembly).
Other programs such as kirtan bhakti and parayans were also conducted in Pujya Doctor Swami’s presence. A Maha Annakut was organized in Sydney which attracted thousands of devotees and well-wishers to celebrate the Diwali and New Year. Pujya Doctor Swami also inaugurated the seventh BAPS Mandir in Australia, at Cairns, QLD.
This inspirational four-month satsang vicharan by Pujya Doctor Swami and the swamis strengthened the satsang and devotion among the young and old.
