On the auspicious day of Guru Purnima, Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s Centenary Celebrations were commemorated at the iconic Great Barrier Reef.  Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s virtues of love, peace and harmony reverberated in the Pacific Ocean from the world’s largest living structure.
The festivities commenced with guru pujan on the Ocean Freedom boat in the middle of the Upolu Reef. Prayers were offered for love, peace and harmony. Arti was performed and an annakut was offered.
The murtis of Shri Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj, Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj were then taken in a dive under water in the Great Barrier Reef amidst the innumerable living organisms. Mahant Swami Maharaj had blessed that all the living organisms will be liberated. In the water, guru pujan was performed through mangalam, arti and dandvat pranams. A unity garland was offered as a gesture of commitment for humans and nature to flourish together.  A procession also took place with a variety of fish. Finally, prayers were offered underwater for love, peace and harmony to spread across the globe.
On the Upolu Cay, swamis performed guru pujan. Thereafter, a special assembly and nagar yatra were held. Then, everyone offered abhishek to Shri Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj and Pramukh Swami Maharaj while praying for world peace and harmony.
