To commemorate Pramukh Swami Maharaj's centenary, nine BAPS devotees from Canberra, participated in a bike ride across the Hume Highway to promote the theme ‘In the Joy of Others – Bike Ride: Celebrating a life promoting health awareness & environmental preservation’. The participants cycled over 300 kilometers in just three days from the construction site of the new BAPS Hindu Mandir & Community Centre in Canberra to the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Rosehill.
Pramukh Swami Maharaj promoted healthy living, advocating a balanced diet and physical fitness and embraced the duty to care for and preserve the environment. This bike ride aimed to bring awareness across communities in Australia, on how to protect and nurture the environment while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Pujya Swayamprakashdas Swami (Pujya Doctor Swami) received the participants when they arrived at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Rosehill.
