It is a moment of immense joy for all Hindus that the construction of the majestic Shri Ram Mandir, an emblem of faith and spirituality, at Ayodhya, the historic birthplace of Shri Ram, will commence in the presence of the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, and several great sadhus from across India. On the historic occasion of the foundation stone-laying ceremony, 50 spiritual leaders and saints have been invited as representatives of the richly diverse culture and tradition of India. Amongst these, the spiritual head of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, HH Mahant Swami Maharaj, has also been cordially invited. Accepting this invitation and on his behalf, the sadhus of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, Pujya Brahmavihari Swami and Pujya Aksharvatsal Swami, will attend the stone-laying ceremony at Ayodhya.
It is noteworthy to recall that 30 years ago, when the national movement for the construction of Shri Ram Janmabhumi Mandir began, HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj had sanctified the first Ramsheela of Gujarat with Vedic rituals on 16 August 1989. Pramukh Swami Maharaj, who had prayed for several years for the construction of this mandir, had sanctified this first Ramsheela on the auspicious day of Rakshabandhan. Coincidently, on the same occasion of Rakshabandhan, on 3 August 2020, his spiritual successor, HH Mahant Swami Maharaj has sanctified with vedic rituals the ‘Shri Ramyantra’ for the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the mandir and has prayed for the earliest completion of the mandir.
On this occasion, HH Mahant Swami Maharaj, who is currently at Nenpur, stated- “As a result of many years of resolute faith, penance and sacrifice of countless devotees and various sant-mahatmas, the construction of the majestic mandir at the birthplace of Shri Ram is going to commence. I am immensely pleased. This mandir will provide inspiration to countless generations from Sanatan dharma, our culture, values and spirituality. Countless generations will learn the supreme values and prescripts from the divine life of Shri Ramchandraji. This mandir will remain a prestigious pinnacle of the Hindu faith.
Our guru Param Pujya Yogiji Maharaj and Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj constantly prayed for this Ram mandir for many years and had inspired countless devotees to participate in it. They kindled faith in all, that the Shri Ram mandir will certainly be built at the birthplace of Shri Ram. The construction of this Ram mandir is commencing on the foundations of dedication, sacrifice, and prayers. I congratulate and convey my best wishes to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Government of India, the Indian Judiciary and to all those engaged in the construction of this mandir.
May the construction of this mandir be completed at the earliest, with unity, without any obstacles, and may Bhagwan Shri Ramlalla be installed with grandeur. Also, may the present crises be resolved at the earliest. I pray so from the bottom of my heart and sincerely request you all to do the same.”
It is noteworthy that the birth of Bhagwan Swaminarayan took place at a village called Chhapiya, located near Ayodhya, on the auspicious day of Ram Navami. He spent six years of his childhood in Ayodhya. He regularly visited every mandir in Ayodhya, heard spiritual discourses and even studied the Vedic scriptures during his stay here. It was from this very town that he embarked on his journey to the various pilgrim places across India at the tender age of 11. He travelled barefoot across terrains ranging from Mansarovar and Char Dham in the North to Kanyakumari in the South. With such divine memories of Ayodhya associated with Bhagwan Shri Swaminarayan, and his fifth spiritual successor, Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj, pujya santos will pay homage in this stone-laying ceremony on behalf of Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj.
રક્ષાબંધન પર્વે મહંત સ્વામી મહારાજે કર્યું વેદોક્ત પૂજન-પ્રાર્થના

અયોધ્યા ખાતે કરોડો હિન્દુઓની આસ્થાના પ્રતીક સમાન શ્રી રામ જન્મભૂમિ પર ભવ્ય શ્રી રામમંદિરના નિર્માણનો વિધિવત વડાપ્રધાન શ્રી નરેન્દ્રભાઈ મોદીના હસ્તે તેમજ ભારતના મહાન સંતોના હસ્તે આરંભ થઈ રહ્યો છે, તેની ખુશાલી કરોડો હિન્દુઓમાં ફરી વળી છે. શિલાન્યાસ વિધિના આ ગૌરવવંતા ઐતિહાસિક કાર્યક્રમમાં દેશભરમાંથી વિવિધ પરંપરાનું પ્રતિનિધિત્વ કરતા ૫૦ સંતો-મહંતોને નિમંત્રિત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. એ પૈકી બી.એ.પી.એસ. સ્વામિનારાયણ સંસ્થાના આધ્યાત્મિક વડા પૂજ્ય મહંત સ્વામી મહારાજને પણ સાદર નિમંત્રિત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ નિમંત્રણનો સ્વીકાર કરીને તેઓશ્રી વતી બી.એ.પી.એસ. સ્વામિનારાયણ સંસ્થાના સંતવર્ય પૂજ્ય બ્રહ્મવિહારી સ્વામી તથા પૂજ્ય અક્ષરવત્સલ સ્વામી આ શિલાન્યાસ વિધિમાં ભાગ લેવા માટે અયોધ્યા જશે.
ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે આજથી 30 વર્ષ પહેલાં, શ્રી રામ જન્મભૂમિના આ મંદિરના નિર્માણ માટે શ્રીરામશિલાના પૂજનનું રાષ્ટ્રીય આંદોલન આરંભાયું ત્યારે તા. 16 ઓગષ્ટના રોજ, ગુજરાતમાં પ્રથમ રામશિલાનું વેદોક્ત વિધિપૂર્વક પૂજન કરીને પૂજ્ય પ્રમુખસ્વામી મહારાજે કર્યું હતું. દાયકાઓ સુધી શ્રી રામજન્મભૂમિ માટે આસ્થાપૂર્વક પ્રાર્થના કરી રહેલા પૂજ્ય પ્રમુખ સ્વામી મહારાજે, રામમંદિરના નિર્માણની પ્રથમ રામશિલાનું પૂજન કર્યું એ દિવસ સન ૧૯૮૯ના રક્ષાબંધનનો દિવસ હતો. યોગાનુયોગ આ જ પવિત્ર રક્ષાબંધન પર્વે, તા. ૩ ઓગષ્ટના રોજ, તેમના અનુગામી પૂજ્ય મહંત સ્વામી મહારાજે શ્રી રામ જન્મભૂમિ પર થનાર શિલાન્યાસ વિધિ માટે શ્રીરામયંત્રનું વૈદિક પૂજન કરીને આ મંદિર વહેલામાં વહેલી તકે સાકાર થાય તેવી શ્રદ્ધા અને પ્રાર્થના વ્યક્ત કરી છે.
આ પ્રસંગે નેનપુર ખાતે બિરાજતા પૂજ્ય મહંત સ્વામી મહારાજ જણાવ્યું છે કે “કરોડો ભક્તો અને સંતો-મહાત્માઓની અનેક વર્ષોની શ્રદ્ધા, તપસ્યા, બલિદાનની ફલશ્રુતિ રૂપે ભગવાન શ્રીરામની જન્મભૂમિ પર ભવ્ય મંદિરનો આરંભ થઈ રહ્યો છે, તેનો અપાર આનંદ છે. આવનારી અનેક પેઢીઓ આ મંદિરમાંથી સનાતનધર્મ, સંસ્કૃતિ, સંસ્કારો, અધ્યાત્મ વગેરેની પવિત્ર પ્રેરણાઓ મેળવશે. અનેક પેઢીઓ ભગવાન શ્રી રામચંદ્રજીના દિવ્ય જીવનમાંથી માનવતાના સર્વોત્તમ મૂલ્યો અને આદર્શો શીખશે. આ મંદિર હિન્દુ ધર્મની અસ્મિતાનું એક ગૌરવ શિખર બની રહેશે. અમારા ગુરુ પરમ પૂજ્ય યોગીજી મહારાજ અને પરમ પૂજ્ય પ્રમુખસ્વામી મહારાજે શ્રી રામમંદિર માટે વર્ષો સુધી સતત પ્રાર્થના કરીને લાખો ભક્તોને તેમાં જોડાવાની પ્રેરણા આપી હતી અને સૌમાં વિશ્વાસ પ્રગટાવ્યો હતો કે શ્રી રામ જન્મભૂમિ પર જરૂર શ્રીરામમંદિર બનશે જ. સમર્પણ, બલિદાન અને પ્રાર્થનાની વેદી પર આ શ્રીરામમંદિરના નિર્માણનો આરંભ થાય છે ત્યારે, તેમાં જોડાયેલા સૌ કાર્યવાહકો, માનનીય વડાપ્રધાન શ્રી નરેન્દ્રભાઈ મોદી, ભારત સરકાર અને ભારતીય ન્યાયતંત્ર સહિત સૌને અભિનંદન સાથે હૃદયપૂર્વક શુભેચ્છાઓ પાઠવું છું.”
વહેલાંમાં વહેલી તકે આ મંદિરનું નિર્માણ કાર્ય સૌની એકતાથી નિર્વિઘ્ને પૂર્ણ થઈ જાય અને ભગવાન શ્રી રામલલા તેમાં ધામધૂમપૂર્વક વિરાજમાન થઈ જાય, અને વર્તમાન સમયની આપત્તિઓનું પણ વહેલી તકે નિવારણ થાય, તેવી અંતઃકરણપૂર્વક પ્રાર્થના કરું છું અને આપ સૌને એવી પ્રાર્થના કરવા હાર્દિક વિનંતી કરું છું. ”
અત્રે ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે ભગવાન શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણનો જન્મ અયોધ્યાની નજીક આવેલા છપૈયા ગામે રામનવમીના પવિત્ર દિવસે થયો હતો. પોતાના બાલ્યકાળના છ વર્ષો તેઓએ અયોધ્યામાં વિતાવ્યા હતા. તીર્થનગરી અયોધ્યાના પ્રત્યેક મંદિરમાં નિત્ય દર્શન અને કથાનો સતત લાભ લેનાર બાળવયના તેઓએ વેદાદિક શાસ્ત્રોનો અભ્યાસ પણ અહીં જ કર્યો હતો. અહીંથી જ ૧૧ વર્ષની ઉંમરે તેઓએ અખિલ ભારતની તીર્થ યાત્રાનો આરંભ કર્યો હતો, જેમાં તેમણે ખુલ્લા પગે માનસરોવર અને ચારધામથી લઈ દક્ષિણમાં છેક કન્યાકુમારી સુધી તીર્થોની યાત્રા કરી હતી. એવા ભગવાન શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણ તેમજ તેમના પંચમ અનુગામી પૂજ્ય પ્રમુખ સ્વામી મહારાજની અયોધ્યા સાથે જોડાયેલી અનેક પવિત્ર સ્મૃતિઓ સાથે, પૂજ્ય મહંત સ્વામી મહારાજ વતી પ્રતિનિધિ સંતો આ શિલાન્યાસ વિધિમાં પોતાનું અર્ઘ્ય અર્પણ કરશે.
