The early morning hours of September 3, 2017, witnessed the Swaminarayan Akshardham Mandapam Pujan vidhi at the hands of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Robbinsville, NJ. Pujya Ishwarcharandas Swami and senior Swamis and devotees from across North America participated in this historic event.
Amidst vedic chants, Mahant Swami Maharaj performed pujan the mandapam pujan. Pujya Ishwarcharandas Swami blessed the devotees participating in the mahapuja and prayed for their prosperity and continued success. Mahant Swami Maharaj then blessed the assembly emphasizing that Akshardham can be experienced here on earth through this marvel, with the unified efforts of all volunteers and swamis, and by seeing divyabhav in all who come together for the making of this Mahamandir.
It was Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s vision to build the Swaminarayan Akshardham Mahamandir that all Hindus could proudly identify as their own. The joyous feeling of their Guru’s vision coming to life was ubiquitous. The Swaminarayan Akshardham Mahamandir will be a place of devotion, faith, learning, and harmony. The spiritual and cultural campus will be dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan and His profound teachings of Hinduism. The Mahamandir will be a spiritual destination of eternal Hindu principles, vibrant devotional traditions, and ancient architecture. It will serve as a haven of peace and harmony, bringing together people of diverse communities and beliefs.
