Over 24,000 devotees and well-wishers joined a host of spiritual luminaries and leading dignitaries of Mumbai to pay tribute to the life and work of H.H. Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
Among the spiritual leaders and dignitaries present were Pujyapad Swamishri Chidanand Saraswatiji (Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Haridwar), Shri Subhash Desai (Minister of Industries, Maharashtra State), Shri Sanjay Nirupam (State Congress President), Shri Ashish Shelar (State BJP President), Shri Ashish Chauhan (CEO, Bombay Stock Exchange), Shri Paresh Rawal (renowned actor), Shri Dilip Joshi (renowned actor), Dr. Ashwin Mehta (renowned cardiologist) and others.
In the first part of the assembly, notable musicians, both vocalists and instrumentalists, presented bhajans in honour of Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
Then, narrating his experience, Shri Paresh Rawal said, "I have never met Pramukh Swami Maharaj. But, when I saw his physical body, I felt that compassion was flowing out of him. Actually, I do not have any faith in religion or sadhus. I follow my rational thoughts rather than my feelings. But the inspirations I have received from Pramukh Swami Maharaj's mortal remains I have not received even from any living person."
Shri Dilip Joshi attributed all the credit for his success as an actor to Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
Pujyapad Swamishri Chidanand Saraswatiji said, "Pramukh Swami Maharaj was a sadhu for the whole world. His work to inspire youths onto the path of dharma is exemplary. His loss is irreplaceable."
Then, Param Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj blessed the assembly. Concluding the assembly, everybody performed arti of and offered mantra-pushpanjali to Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
