On Tuesday, 21 June 2016, a grand celebration of the Hindi translation of Dr Kalam’s book ‘Transcendence: My Spiritual Experiences with Pramukh Swamiji’ was held in Nagpur. The Hindi version is titled 'Aarohan'.
The evening program featured videos depicting the lives and works of Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, their interactions with each other and inspiring messages from the book.
Addressing the assembly, Shri Mohan Bhagwat (Sarsangsanchalak, RSS) said, “The actions of these two great personalities speak for themselves. They do not have to lecture. And in their presence their messages will certainly affect you. The words in this book are not merely words, but they represent their inner wisdom. Through this book you will experience the presence of Pramukh Swami Maharaj.”
Prof. Arun Tiwari, co-author of the book, recounted some of his personal experiences with Dr Kalam and the process of writing the book.
Brahmavihari Swami narrated his firsthand experiences over 14 years as an interpreter between Dr Kalam and Pramukh Swami Maharaj, and the wider messages of inner development and harmony that their unique friendship teaches.
The program also featured speeches by Vamsee Juluri (Professor, University of San Francisco), Atmaswarup Swami, Premprakash Swami and Jnanvatsal Swami.
The event concluded with the national anthem.
