On Sunday 2 June 2013, the new BAPS Students Hostel, built in the precincts of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Bhavnagar, was inaugurated by Pujya Mahant Swami. At the auspicious time, he untied the ribbon while sadhus sang Vedic verses.
In the public assembly which followed, Pujya Mahant Swami said, “In the virtuous atmosphere of the hostel, students will attain all-round progress… Thousands of student’s will be inspired to progress.
The Member of Parliament for the area commented, “Together with academic coaching, BAPS hostels provide education of the heart.”
This new hostel will cater for high school (standard 11 and 12) and college students.
