The 92nd birth anniversary of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj was devoutly celebrated at BAPS Swaminarayan mandirs and centres around the UK and across Europe.
The programme, titled ‘An Ocean of Virtues’, offered a luminous tribute to Mahant Swami Maharaj’s divine life. Through an ocean-themed presentation of devotion and reflection, devotees were inspired to contemplate upon his profound spiritual qualities.
The celebration featured skits, conversations, sketches, bhajans, impressions from sadguru swamis, discourses from swamis, and a montage of video presentations. Together, these elements highlighted six virtues embodied by Mahant Swami Maharaj.
Ocean of Presence – which revealed how Mahant Swami Maharaj’s presence reaches beyond his physical proximity, blessing endless people across the world with guidance, compassion, and reassurance that they are never alone.
Ocean of Selflessness – which reflected upon his tireless travels, personal correspondence and countless hidden sacrifices to serve others before himself.
Ocean of Embracement – which included a medley of bhajans that depicted how Mahant Swami Maharaj embraces all unconditionally, nurturing their spiritual growth.
Ocean of Humility – which underlined how he perceives all as divine, concealing his own greatness while embodying the highest humility.
Ocean of Spirituality – which brought to life his ceaseless guidance that continually centres individuals upon God, inspiring a deep and abiding faith.
Ocean of Love – which reminded thousands that his unconditional love flows through constant prayers and boundless care, and that his heart is universally open to all.
Mahant Swami Maharaj also shared a personal message, in which he explained how to experience an Ocean of Bliss: “God always walks beside you, and the Satpurush always carries you. This bond is forever.” His words and the day’s celebrations inspired all to deepen their spiritual connection and to imbibe his divine virtues in their daily lives.
The celebrations across UK & Europe served as a precursor to the main janma jayanti mahotsav taking place in India in February 2026.
