યુટાહ રાજ્યના ગેસ અને ઓઈલ કંપનીના માંધાતા ડેનિયલ કુકે પ્રમુખસ્વામી મહારાજને પ્રશ્ન પૂછ્યો : 'હું આદર્શ પિતા અને આદર્શ પતિ કઈ રીતે બની શકું?'
સ્વામીશ્રી : 'નિયમો પાળવા પડે તો ઘરમાં સંપ રહે. તમારાં પત્ની અને તમારા વચ્ચે પ્રેમ રહે એ માટે બાંધછોડ કરતા શીખવું પડે. બાળકો અને પત્નીને સમય આપવો, રોજ સાથે બેસીને ઘરસભા કરવી. પરિવાર સાથે હળવું-મળવું અને સારા ગ્રંથોનું વાંચન કરવું.' સ્વામીશ્રીએ સામાજિક જીવનની સફળતાનાં રહસ્યો, સૂત્ર તેઓને આપ્યાં.

Reason for Cultivating Atma-Realisation
“… However, to behave as the ãtmã does not mean to believe oneself to be Brahma and act waywardly. Rather, the purpose of behaving as the ãtmã is to realise, ‘I am the ãtmã, and there are no hindrances of mãyã within me. If that is so, how can there be even the slightest trace of mãyã in Paramãtmã Nãrãyan Vãsudev, who transcends the ãtmã?’ For this reason then, the virtue of ãtmã-realisation should be firmly cultivated so that in no way does one perceive any fault in God.”
