In this eighth episode of Shri Swaminarayan Charitra, Neelkanth Varni continues his divine journey across South India. Moving on from Tirupati Balaji, he compassionately serves Sevakram along the way and visits numerous sacred sites, including Shiv Kanchi, Vishnu Kanchi, Srirangam, Kumbakonam, Mannargudi, Rameshwaram, Dhanushkodi, Madurai, Sriperumbudur, Kanyakumari, and Padmanabha in Kerala.
Thereafter, he proceeds to Trimbakeshwar in Maharashtra and to Dharampur, Surat, and Bharuch in Gujarat. Then, in Vadodara, Neelkanth accepts the devotion of Amichand Sheth and his wife. After passing through Vadtal, in Bochasan, he blesses Kashidas and his family with a divine promise. Then, in Khambhat, Budhej, Vagad, Lakadiya, Gopnath, Gupta Prayag, and other places, he graciously accepts the devotion of many devotees.
In Lodhva village, he explains the true meaning of spiritual wisdom to Lakhu Charan, a highly learned and devout woman. And after visiting Girnar and other sacred sites, Neelkanth finally arrives at the village of Loj.

श्री स्वामिनारायण चरित्र के इस आठवें भाग में नीलकंठ वर्णी दक्षिण भारत में अपनी कल्याण यात्रा को आगे बढ़ाते हैं। तिरुपति बालाजी से आगे बढ़ते हुए वे मार्ग में सेवकराम की सेवा करते हैं और शिव कांची, विष्णु कांची, श्रीरंगक्षेत्र, कुम्भकोणम्, मन्नारगुड़ी, रामेश्वरम्, धनुषकोड़ी, मदुराई, श्रीपेरुम्बुदुर, कन्याकुमारी, केरल के पद्मनाभ तथा अन्य अनेक पवित्र तीर्थों की यात्रा करते हैं।
आगे महाराष्ट्र के त्र्यम्बकेश्वर से होते हुए गुजरात के धरमपुर, सूरत और भरूच से गुजरते हुए वडोदरा में अमीचंद सेठ और उनकी पत्नी के भक्तिभाव को स्वीकार करते हैं। वड्ताल और बोचासण में काशीदास और उनके परिवार को आशीर्वाद देकर एक दिव्य वचन प्रदान करते हैं, तथा खंभात, बुधेज, वागड़, लाकड़िया, गोपनाथ और गुप्त प्रयाग जैसे स्थानों पर अनेक भक्तों की भक्ति को स्वीकार करते हैं।
लोढवा गाँव में महाज्ञानी विदुषी लखु चारण को ज्ञान का सच्चा लक्ष्यार्थ समझाते हैं, और गिरनार आदि तीर्थों की यात्रा करते हुए अंततः वे लोज गाँव पहुँचते हैं।

આગળ મહારાષ્ટ્રના ત્ર્યંબકેશ્વર થઈને ગુજરાતના ધરમપુર, સુરત, ભરુચ, વગેરેથી જતા વડોદરામાં અમીચંદ શેઠ અને તેમની પત્નીના ભક્તિભાવને સ્વીકાર કરે છે. વડતાલ થઈને બોચાસણમાં કાશીદાસ અને તેમના પરિવારને આશીર્વાદ આપી એક દિવ્ય વચન આપે છે, તેમજ ખંભાત, બુધેજ, વાગડ, લાકડિયા, ગોપનાથ અને ગુપ્ત પ્રયાગ જેવા સ્થળોએ અનેક ભક્તોની ભક્તિને સ્વીકારે છે.
લોઢવા ગામમાં મહાજ્ઞાની વિદુષી લખુ ચારણને જ્ઞાનનો સાચો લક્ષ્યાર્થ સમજાવે છે, અને ગિરનાર વગેરે તીર્થોની યાત્રા કરતાં અંતે તેઓ લોજ ગામે પધારે છે.
