We present another episode of Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s historic pilgrimage of India as a child-yogi named Neelkanth Varni. At 11 years, Neelkanth trekked through the formidable Himalayan mountains and fathomless chasms to reach Badrivan. Here, he performed intense austerities for three long months in the bone-chilling winter season.
This 5th episode of ‘Swaminarayan Charitra’ features his awe-inspiring journey from Badrinath to Mansarovar. As a tender child, he travelled bare-chested, bare-footed and alone, facing insurmountable hardships to accomplish his unparalleled pilgrimage to Mansarovar in Tibet.
Thereafter, his journey to Nepal brought him to the quaint town of Vanshipur, where he accepted the devotion of the king and queen, but declined the proposals of marriage to their daughters and sovereignty of their kingdom.
The incidents from the life and work of Bhagwan Swaminarayan have been brought to life through animation technology. The dialogues and background score pluck one’s heartstrings with a spectrum of emotions, while technology enlightens and allows viewers to experience Neelkanth’s incredible pilgrimage.

ભગવાન શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણે પોતાની કિશોર વયે બાળયોગી નીલકંઠવર્ણી તરીકે કરેલી ભારતયાત્રાની આ એક વધુ ક્રમિક પ્રસ્તુતિ છે. ઉત્તુંગ શિખરો અને ખીણો વચ્ચેથી પસાર થઈને 11 વર્ષીય નીલકંઠે હિમાલયના કાતિલ શિયાળામાં બરફવર્ષા વચ્ચે બદરીવનમાં ત્રણ માસ સુધી તપશ્ચર્યા કરી હતી. ‘સ્વામિનારાયણ ચરિત્ર’ના આ પાંચમા ભાગમાં તેની રોમાંચક પ્રસ્તુતિ છે. તેથીય વધુ દિલધડક છે - માનસરોવરની યાત્રા. એક બાળક તરીકે અસહ્ય કષ્ટો વેઠીને ખુલ્લા શરીરે, ખુલ્લા પગે, એકાંકી નીલકંઠે હિમના સાગર ઓળંગીને કરેલી તિબેટ-માનસરોવરની યાત્રા વિશ્વના ઇતિહાસમાં અજોડ કહી શકાય. ત્યારબાદ નેપાળયાત્રા દરમ્યાન વંશીપુરના રાજા-રાણીનાં સ્નેહભર્યાં પ્રલોભનો વચ્ચેથી ઉભરતી નીલકંઠની નિઃસ્પૃહી પ્રતિભા પણ રોમાંચક છે. શાસ્ત્રોના વર્ણનોને જીવંત કરી દેતું વાસ્તવિક એનિમેશન, આત્માને ઢંઢોળતું સંગીત અને હૃદયસ્પર્શી સંવાદો દ્વારા આ ફિલ્મ આપણને નીલકંઠની તે અજોડ યાત્રામાં સહભાગી બનાવે છે, તેમજ આધ્યાત્મિક રહસ્યોની અનુભૂતિ કરાવે છે.
