At 10.00 Swamishri arrived at Edison mandir to celebrate the festival of Jal Jhilani Ekadashi. After Thakorji’s darshan and abhishek of Nilkanth Varni, Swamishri walked onto the main stage amidst the joyous applause of thousands of devotees. After the pujan rituals of Shri Harikrishna Maharaj, Swamishri steered a small boat on which Shri Harikrishna Maharaj was standing in a small makeshift pool of water. After performing five artis the head sadhus of each region spoke for a few minutes about the transforming effect of Swamishri’s stay in their centres. Thereafter senior sadhus and devotees garlanded Swamishri. Finally Swamishri blessed the festival assembly, “The festival celebrates the arrival of God after the monsoon rains fill the rivers and reservoirs with fresh, new water. He blesses all with divine joy and happiness. The jiva has to be purged of base instincts and faults. By taking refuge in God one’s ignorance and bad nature are dissolved. He liberates one from maya and blesses with brahmabhav (divinity). He brought the Gunatit Sadhu, whose association frees one from the bondage of mine-ness and infatuation for worldly objects.” At 12.20 pm Swamishri returned to East Brunswick. The next day Swamishri departed by flight from America at 9.35 am and landed at Farnborough airport at 9.10 pm (G.M.T). Swamishri arrived at the Neasden Mandir at 10.15 pm and briefly attended an assembly of devotees. Before retiring at 11.00 pm he blessed all the London sadhus for having fasted for 100 hours. Also, 241 devotees had observed fasts and other austerities.

After completing his morning puja Swamishri consecrated the marble murtis of Shri Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj, Radha-Krishna Dev, Sita-Ram and Hanumanji, Shiv-Parvati and Ganpatiji and Guru Parampara for the hari mandir in Albany by performing pujan and arti. Council Member for Flushing Mr John Liu and Scoh Steberg on behalf of Flushing Assembly Member Mrs Ellan Young came to honour Swamishri. Mr John Liu and Scoh Steberg presented proclamations from The Council, City of New York, declaring 7 December as Pramukh Swami Day in New York State, and from the Assembly State of New York, respectively.

Swamishri performed the pratishtha rituals for the abhishek murti of Shri Nilkanth Varni. Then Swamishri attended the BAPS Centenary Celebration assembly. He was welcomed by thousands of flag-waving devotees. In his blessings Swamishri appreciated and blessed the devotees of the New York mandal. The Council Member of New York City Mr Hiram Monserrate sent a letter of citation to honour Swamishri. At 8.00 pm Swamishri departed from New York mandir and travelled to East Brunswick to preside over and bless the 2½-day National Leadership Seminar for leading BAPS volunteers. The shibir theme was ‘Sanstha, Siddhant and Satpurush’.

Swamishri blessed Paresh Parekh who walked 475 km from Belgium to London. He did this to celebrate the BAPS Centenary Year and please Swamishri. As he travelled he was warmly supported and honoured along the way by mayors of cities and schoolchildren walked with him in solidarity for three kilometres. In the evening assembly a grand drama presentation about the history of Bochasan village was performed by a cast of 200 children, teenagers, youths and devotees. Adarshjivan Swami had written the script and it was directed by Manoharmurti Swami and Yagnatilak Swami. After the first part Swamishri blessed the assembly explaining how Shriji Maharaj came to Bochasan as Nilkanth Varni and subsequently as Maharaj to fulfil the devotion of Kashidas Mota. Part two was performed the next day (29/9). On 30/9 a national shibir was organized for the entire day for the main volunteers of UK.
