By the grace of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and the divine inspiration of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, Pujya Shwetmunidas Swami and Pujya Brahmatilakdas Swami recently completed a satsang vicharan across the Republic of Panama, where they have been visiting regularly since 2009. This visit once again provided devotees and well-wishers with an opportunity to strengthen their spiritual connection and discover practical guidance for navigating modern-day challenges through the lens of Hindu values.
Panama, widely recognized for its historic canal and thriving international commerce, is also home to a devoted Hindu community. Throughout the visit, the swamis reached families across Panama City, La Chorrera, and Chitre through padhramanis, personal guidance, and daily satsang assemblies. Each evening sabha began with kirtan-bhakti, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere that brought together hundreds of devotees.
During his discourses, Pujya Shwetmunidas Swami emphasized the importance of family unity and spiritual resilience, drawing from the Vachanamrut and the Satsang Diksha. He explained how regular Ghar Sabha and daily spiritual practices can serve as a strong foundation for families living far from mandirs, helping them remain spiritually connected to the Guru through discipline, devotion, and a life rooted in values. Pujya Brahmatilakdas Swami focused on engaging with the youth, addressing the unique challenges faced by second- and third-generation Hindus in Central America. Through interactive sessions, he highlighted how timeless spiritual wisdom can be applied in academic and professional life while nurturing pride in one’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
Over the six-day vicharan, more than 850 devotees participated in the assemblies, reflecting growing enthusiasm and spiritual engagement within the community. In Panama City, over 20 youths took part in a Satsang Diksha Adhiveshan, gaining a deeper understanding of the text and strengthening their connection with Mahant Swami Maharaj. The swamis also visited over 120 homes and businesses, performing pujas and offering blessings for peace and prosperity, further deepening personal bonds with the local community.
This vicharan reflects BAPS’s ongoing commitment to nurturing satsang in every corner of the world. As shared during the concluding assembly, while geography may differ, the message of Ekantik Dharma remains constant, and the true aim is to experience the joy of Bhagwan and the Guru in daily life. During the visit, devotees offered prayers for Mahant Swami Maharaj’s well-being and expressed gratitude for the spiritual guidance received. The vicharan left the community inspired to strengthen their faith, remain united in devotion, and live the principles of Ekantik Dharma in their everyday lives.
