On the auspicious evening of Ram Navami and Swaminarayan Jayanti, the Vice President of India, C.P. Radhakrishnan, visited Swaminarayan Akshardham for the darshan of the newly consecrated Tapomurti Shri Nilkanth Varni Maharaj and of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj.
On behalf of Swamishri, Pujya Anandswarupdas Swami warmly welcomed the vice president on his arrival. The vice president first performed the puja and arti of Tapomurti Shri Nilkanth Varni Maharaj with deep reverence.
Thereafter, he had darshan of Swamishri, who blessed him by offering a garland and tying a nadachhadi, symbolizing prayers for his well-being and continued service to the nation.
Following this, Shri Radhakrishnan had darshan of Thakorji in the mandir and offered heartfelt prayers for the peace, prosperity, and progress of the country and its people.
During his visit, he also paid his respects on the auspicious occasion of the 245th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, honoring his timeless teachings and spiritual legacy.
