Consecrated in 2001 by Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Bahrain marked its 25 years dedicated to spiritual service and community harmony. Since its inception, the mandir has stood as a vibrant centre for devotion, worship, and fostering unity among diverse communities.
The mandir completed 25 years on 13 April 2026, and the Silver Jubilee celebrations were held on 17 April 2026 with great devotion and enthusiasm.
The day commenced with an auspicious mahapuja performed by devotees and the offering of annakut to Shri Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj and the Guru Parampara.
The main assembly took place in the evening and was attended by dignitaries, representatives of various communities, and devotees from across Bahrain. The assembly featured heartfelt recollections highlighting the spiritual journey and impact of the mandir over the past 25 years.
During is online address from the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, Brahmavihari Swami recalled cherished memories of the Bahrain Mandir and expressed deep gratitude towards His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who had personally met His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj and warmly invited him to make Bahrain his home. He also acknowledged the continued generosity of the ruler His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He offered prayers for the upcoming mandir in Bahrain, for which land has been generously gifted by the nation’s leadership.
The celebration took place in a spirit of unity, joy, and shared devotion.
