On 22 May 1988, His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj concluded his historic Europe Vicharan in Oslo, Norway. During lunch that day, sevak swamis lovingly requested Swamishri to have one more rotli, saying: “This is the last rotli and the last day in Europe. The next meal will be in London later today.”
Swamishri replied with profound foresight: “This might be the last vicharan for me, but sadhus and devotees will come here often to spread satsang. It is Guru Shastriji Maharaj and Yogiji Maharaj’s resolve that Satsang spreads across Europe. To fulfil their resolve, you all will have to come here many times.”
These words became reality when, in 2012, Shrutiprakashdas Swami and other swamis from London visited Oslo. Later, Yogvivekdas Swami, Head Swami of BAPS UK & Europe, and accompanying swamis continued to nurture the spiritual needs of devotees in Norway.
Carrying forward this divine vision, Tyagprakashdas Swami and Aksharsankalpdas Swami from London visited Oslo on Thursday 16 October 2025, and participated in a special Satsang Sabha organised by local devotees.
During the assembly, Tyagprakashdas Swami delivered an inspiring discourse on the core principles of Sanatan Hindu Dharma: Satya (Truth), Daya (Compassion), Ahimsa Non-violence), Brahmacharya (Self-restraint), and Asteya (Non-stealing).
He emphasised the importance of spirituality and faith in today’s rapidly changing world. His words resonated deeply with the devotees, who expressed heartfelt gratitude for the swamis’ visit and the spiritual guidance they received.
This sabha reaffirmed the enduring commitment to fulfil the vision of the Satpurush and strengthen Satsang in Europe.
