At Mahakumbh 2025, a truly historic milestone unfolded with the widespread and enthusiastic acceptance of the ‘Shri Swaminarayan Bhashya’, a monumental commentary based on the Akshar-Purushottam Darshan revealed by Bhagwan Swaminarayan and inspired by Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Authored by Mahamahopadhyay Bhadreshdas Swami, this scholarly work stands firmly within the time-honoured Vedanta shastra tradition. It provides a systematic and lucid exposition of the philosophical teachings of the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, and allied schools of Indian philosophy, presenting them with clarity, scriptural authenticity, and faith-supported reasoning.
During this significant occasion, revered pithadhishwars, mahamandaleshwars, acharyas, and distinguished scholars representing various akhadas, peeths, and spiritual lineages collectively welcomed the ‘Shri Swaminarayan Bhashya’ as an authoritative and meaningful contribution to the Vedantic tradition. Their acknowledgment highlighted the text’s role in enriching philosophical discourse and strengthening the intellectual foundations of Sanatan Dharma.
With the blessings and encouragement of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, Mahamahopadhyay Bhadreshdas Swami personally met many respected saints and scholars participating in the Mahakumbh. Through thoughtful discussions and respectful exchanges, he presented the philosophical depth and scriptural basis of the ‘Shri Swaminarayan Bhashya’. Among them were Junapeethadhishwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj and other esteemed saints, including Swami Vishokanand Ji Maharaj, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Ji Maharaj, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Balkananand Ji Maharaj, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Pranab Chaitanya Puri Ji Maharaj, and Swami Govinddev Giri Ji Maharaj. ભારતની સનાતન સંસ્કૃતિ અને આધ્યાત્મિક પરંપરાઓનો સૌથી મોટો સંગમ ઉત્સવ એટલે ‘મહાકુંભ.’ માત્ર શ્રદ્ધાળુ-મુમુક્ષુઓ માટે જ નહીં પરંતુ સંતો, મહાપુરુષો અને ધાર્મિક મનીષીઓ માટે પણ ‘કુંભ’ એક દિવ્ય અવસર હોય છે.
વર્ષ ૨૦૨૫ના ઐતિહાસિક મહાકુંભના પાવન પ્રસંગે, પરબ્રહ્મ ભગવાન શ્રીસ્વામિનારાયણ પ્રબોધિત ‘શ્રીઅક્ષરપુરુષોત્તમ દર્શન’ના સિદ્ધાંતોને અનુલક્ષીને બ્રહ્મસ્વરૂપ પ્રમુખસ્વામી મહારાજની પ્રેરણાથી રચાયેલાં ‘શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણ ભાષ્ય’નું ભવ્ય સ્વાગત કરવામાં આવ્યું. શાસ્ત્રીય વેદાંત પરંપરા અનુસાર, પ્રસ્થાનત્રયી પર રચાયેલ આ ભાષ્ય ગ્રંથ મહામહોપાધ્યાય સ્વામી ભદ્રેશદાસજીની દિવ્ય લેખનીમાંથી પ્રસ્ફુટિત થયો છે, જે ભારતીય દર્શન, વેદાંત અને ઉપનિષદોના ગૂઢ રહસ્યોને સ્પષ્ટ કરનારો એક મહાન ગ્રંથ છે.

પરમ પૂજ્ય મહંત સ્વામી મહારાજના દિવ્ય આશીર્વાદ અને આજ્ઞાથી, મહામહોપાધ્યાય પૂજ્ય ભદ્રેશદાસ સ્વામીએ મહાકુંભમાં ઉપસ્થિત આદરણીય સંતો, આચાર્યો અને વિદ્વાનો સાથે વ્યક્તિગત મુલાકાત અને શાસ્ત્રીય સંવાદ સાધ્યો હતો. આ હૃદયસ્પર્શી સંવાદો દ્વારા, તેમણે ‘શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણ ભાષ્ય’નો સાર અને વૈદિકતા રજૂ કર્યાં, જેનાથી સનાતન ભારતના સંત સમાજ અને વિદ્વત્ સમુદાયમાં ભાષ્યોની વ્યાપક સ્વીકૃતિ વધુ મજબૂત બની હતી.
આ મહાકુંભની દિવ્ય ક્ષણોમાં વિશેષ રૂપે જૂનાપીઠાધીશ્વર આચાર્ય મહામંડલેશ્વર સ્વામી અવધેશાનંદ ગિરીજી મહારાજે ‘શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણ ભાષ્ય’ને સાદર, સસ્નેહ શુભકામનાઓ પ્રદાન કરી ભાષ્યકાર મહામહોપાધ્યાય સ્વામી ભદ્રેશદાસજીનું હાર્દિક અભિનંદન કર્યું. આ ઉપરાંત, નિર્વાણ પીઠાધીશ્વર સ્વામી વિશોકાનંદજી મહારાજ, નિરંજન પીઠાધીશ્વર આચાર્ય મહામંડલેશ્વર સ્વામી કૈલાશાનંદજી મહારાજ, આનંદ પીઠાધીશ્વર આચાર્ય મહામંડલેશ્વર સ્વામી બાલકાનંદજી મહારાજ, તથા પરમાર્થ સાધક સેવા સંઘના આચાર્ય મહામંડલેશ્વર સ્વામી પ્રણબચૈતન્યપુરીજી મહારાજે પણ આ ગ્રંથની પ્રશંસા કરી અને તેને સંત સમાજ તેમજ સાધકો માટે એક અનમોલ આધ્યાત્મિક માર્ગદર્શક ગણાવ્યો હતો. પરમ શ્રદ્ધેય સ્વામી ગોવિંદદેવ ગિરીજી મહારાજે પણ આ પ્રસંગે ભાષ્ય ગ્રંથોને આધ્યાત્મિક વિરાસત ગણાવી સહર્ષ શુભેચ્છાઓ પાઠવી હતી.
સાંપ્રત સમયમાં પરમ પૂજ્ય મહંત સ્વામી મહારાજ દ્વારા જીવંત આ અક્ષરપુરુષોત્તમ સિદ્ધાંત માત્ર સ્વામિનારાયણ સંપ્રદાય પૂરતો સીમિત નથી, પરંતુ તે સમગ્ર સનાતન ધર્મના સાધકો માટે પરમ ઉપયોગી છે. આ ગ્રંથ ભારતીય દર્શનની ઉન્નત પરંપરાઓને વૈજ્ઞાનિક અને તર્કસંગત દૃષ્ટિકોણથી રજૂ કરે છે, જે પ્રત્યેક મુમુક્ષુ માટે પથદર્શક સાબિત થશે.
મહાકુંભ ૨૦૨૫માં પધારેલા સમસ્ત શ્રદ્ધેય સંતો, શ્રી મહંતો અને મહામંડલેશ્વરોએ આ ગ્રંથના પ્રકાશનને એક ઐતિહાસિક ઘટના ગણાવી હર્ષોલ્લાસ સાથે સ્વીકાર કર્યો હતો. આ અવસર માત્ર ગ્રંથના સ્વાગત પૂરતો મર્યાદિત ન રહેતા, વેદાંત, સ્વામિનારાયણ દર્શન અને સનાતન ધર્મના ગૂઢ રહસ્યો પર ગહન વિમર્શનું કેન્દ્ર બન્યો હતો. વિદ્વાન સંતોએ ભારપૂર્વક જણાવ્યું કે વેદાંત અને ઉપનિષદોના ગૂઢ જ્ઞાનને સરળતાથી સમજવા માટે આ એક અત્યંત મહત્વપૂર્ણ ગ્રંથ છે.
સંત સમાજે આ કાર્યને ભારતીય શાસ્ત્રોની સમૃદ્ધિમાં એક નવો આયામ જોડનારી સિદ્ધિ ગણાવી તેના વ્યાપક પ્રચાર-પ્રસારની આવશ્યકતા પર ભાર મૂક્યો હતો. આ પ્રસંગે ભારતની આધ્યાત્મિક વિરાસતમાં એક સુવર્ણ અધ્યાય ઉમેર્યો છે, જ્યાં શાસ્ત્ર, સંત અને સનાતન સંસ્કૃતિના ભવ્ય સંગમ વચ્ચે આ જ્ઞાનના પ્રકાશપુંજને સમસ્ત સંત સમાજે પોતાના આશીર્વાદથી અભિસિંચિત કર્યો છે.
