The 25th anniversary of BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Phoenix, Arizona, was celebrated with great joy and devotion on November 8 and 9, 2025, through spiritually uplifting programs that brought together devotees and well-wishers from across the Phoenix community.
The roots of BAPS satsang in the Phoenix area date back to 2000, when devotees established the original BAPS Mandir in Mesa, Arizona. The mandir served as a spiritual gathering place for the growing satsang community, offering weekly assemblies, devotional activities, and opportunities for community service.
As the satsang community continued to grow, the need for a larger mandir to support expanding spiritual and cultural activities became clear. This vision was fulfilled on November 1, 2014, when Sadguru Pujya Tyagvallabhdas Swami inaugurated the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Phoenix, Arizona. Inspired by the blessings and guidance of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj and His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, the mandir has since served as a vibrant center for devotion, cultural learning, and community engagement, inspiring individuals and families to lead lives grounded in faith, service, and unity.
The anniversary celebrations began on Saturday evening, November 8, with a cultural program presented by children and youths. Through speeches, devotional music, and artistic performances, the program reflected on the mandir’s journey and highlighted its role in nurturing faith, values, and unity while strengthening devotees’ connection to Bhagwan Swaminarayan and the Guru Parampara.
On Sunday morning, November 9, devotees gathered for the sacred patotsav rituals, commemorating the consecration of the mandir’s murtis. Swamis performed the traditional ceremonies as devotees offered prayers with gratitude for the blessings of the mandir.
The celebrations concluded on Sunday afternoon with a kirtan aradhana, during which devotees participated in devotional singing, creating an atmosphere of devotion and appreciation for the mandir, the Guru, and the many opportunities for satsang and seva it has provided.
The 25th anniversary offered devotees an opportunity to reflect on the mandir’s journey and its continued growth as a center of satsang, seva, and spiritual learning for the Phoenix community. The occasion also inspired devotees to strengthen their commitment to faith, unity, and selfless service in the years ahead.
