As part of Pramukh Swami Maharaj's Centenary Celebrations, the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Dar es Salaam hosted a gathering attended by representatives of 38 Hindu religious  and social organizations based in Dar es Salaam in the presence of Mahamahopadhyaya Bhadreshdas Swami.
This 'Unity Forum' brought together 180 Hindu leaders of numerous denominations and featured discussions on preserving Hindu culture, and other issues affecting Hindu mandirs and organizations.
They also discussed how the community can collectively preserve our ancient culture and beliefs as revealed in our authentic and ancient shastras.
Each religious leader and their team had a personal dialogue with Mahamahopadhyaya Bhadreshdas Swami. During these sessions, they informed that the forefathers of some Hindu families had migrated to Tanzania more than 150 years ago, and that their descendants were also sincerely practising and preserving our Hindu beliefs and traditions.
Bhadreshdas Swami shed light on how knowledge can be applied to foster social harmony and peace. He emphasized the need for continuous dialogue and cooperative efforts to establish a solid foundation of Hindu practices anchored in scriptural teachings and principles.
The meeting concluded with group photographs.
