The annual Satsang Pravrutti & Management Conference for BAPS UK & Europe was integrated with a national webcast sabha titled ‘One Goal: Shatabdi Seva’ on Sunday 20 February 2022.
The conference was held at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London (with a limited capacity audience) and shared via a live webcast to provide important information regarding Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s centennial birth celebrations taking place across the UK and in Europe.
Delegates were provided with motivation as well as detailed plans on the events and projects that are being planned to pay tribute to Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s life of selfless sacrifice, pristine devotion and profound spirituality.
These messages were delivered through a series of inspiring discourses from swamis and emotive video presentations. They began with the insights of Narayanmunidas Swami – a senior and learned swami from India – who offered a contextual summary of the importance and opportunity to celebrate Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s life globally.
Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s tireless spiritual travels across the UK and Europe were relived through photographs, videos and personal testimonies of devotees who narrated the profound impact they have experienced from his visits.
Members of the Board of Trustees also addressed the conference, discussing the achievements and accomplishments that have been realised during another pandemic-hit year, while also setting the platform for the forthcoming centennial birth celebrations.
Lead volunteers then shared detailed plans for activities and projects underpinning the year-long celebrations. They focus on personal spiritual development, connecting with individuals and families, serving the community, and vibrant cultural celebrations. All these will provide unique opportunities for young and old to participate and grow. Other lead members shared timelines, tools and processes to register as volunteers to support these inspiring programmes.
In his keynote address, Yogvivekdas Swami explained the ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’ of the celebrations, drawing upon the remarkable efforts of Pramukh Swami Maharaj to nurture the satsang fellowship in the UK and Europe.
Further uplifting messages of motivation from sadguru swamis and a specially recorded message from Mahant Swami Maharaj energised the assembly at the Mandir and everyone watching from their homes.
The conference concluded with all the participants joining in an interactive pledge, drawing from the words of Mahant Swami Maharaj himself, in which they declared: “Have amaro varo chhe!” Now it is our turn to offer our services to our guru during his centennial birth celebrations.
