With the blessings of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, devotees and well-wishers came together to celebrate the 15th anniversary of BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Parsippany, NJ on July 31, 2022. Amidst the showering of flower petals and rice grains and the chanting of Vedic hymns and prayers, the celebration commenced with a traditional Mahapuja ceremony in the presence of revered swamis.
The cultural program featured life-changing experiences of youths who shared how the mandir helped shape their identity and maintain their cultural values. Kirtans, skits, speeches, and video presentations portrayed how the mandir helped the devotees lead a value-based life anchored in faith and community service. The central message of the celebration was to strengthen unity among families, highlight the importance of spiritual deepening and development, and empower parents and elders to instill values and morals in the lives of children through quality time and education. His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj continues to inspire the preservation of Hindu culture through events like this and the mandirs.
