Between July and September 2021, more than 300 kishores and kishoris from 11 centers in Australia (Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Darwin) and New Zealand (Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Hamilton) participated in this Kishore-Kishori Shibirs based on the theme, ‘Atmabuddhi: Jivanni Siddhi.’ The shibirs were conducted at the mandir or online based on the local COVID-19 protocols.
The shibirs focused on developing atmabuddhi with the Satpurush through three important rituals: personal daily puja, prayers and memorizing the Satsang Diksha shastra.
The shibir theme was presented through presentations by BAPS swamis, panel discussions, videos, activities, dramas, skits, breakout discussions led by local karyakars, and special guidance given by swamis and Param Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj.
The youths learnt the importance and relevance of performing personal worship rituals in their daily lives to develop atmabuddhi. They were taught the correct way to do puja, the right thoughts to keep during prayers and the importance of the Satsang Diksha as a shastra for daily spiritual guidance.
As part of Pramukh Swami Maharaj's Centenary Celebrations, the youths pledged to strengthen their practice of personal daily worship rituals.
