An online devotional and cultural event was organized by the BAPS Mahila Mandal to mark the International Women’s Day 2021. Themed ‘Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a COVID-19 World,’ the event celebrated and felicitated the leadership skills of the BAPS Women’s Wing.
The online assembly began with prerecorded videos of girls from the Shishu, Balika, Kishori and Yuvati Mandals singing the dhun, prayers and stuti.
Thereafter, the emcee gave a brief outline of the International Women’s Day and the leadership qualities of women.
Then, renowned motivational speaker Ms. Nishi Shetty, CEO and Founder of Niche Consulting and People Transformation Strategies, addressed the assembly on the topic ‘Sarjanatmaktase Karyasheel Netrutva’.
The leadership of women in social causes around the world was depicted through a video of the activities of the BAPS Women’s Wing across the world.
This presentation was followed by interviews of women devotees from the UAE and GCC in which the women expressed their experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. They shared their stories of how they overcame the challenges with their leadership skills and the lessons learnt from the life of guruhari Mahant Swami Maharaj. Women joined the virtual celebration from the different emirates of the UAE and other GCC countries as well.
At the end of the event, a cultural dance was presented by young ladies as a celebration of women the world over.
