BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha joined local communities, states, and countries around the world to support the fight against the current COVID-19 pandemic. Every corner of the world has been disrupted by the pandemic as the general public is advised to take preventative measures such as social distancing and ‘sheltering in place’ in some areas.
There is a group of brave heroes that put themselves at great risk to take care of our families and communities affected by COVID-19: doctors, nurses, paramedics, public safety officers, and other frontline workers. These individuals risk their health every day to stem the impact of the pandemic. To honor and show gratitude to those men and women working tirelessly in healthcare and public safety, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandirs across North America will be lit blue.
BAPS communities around the world continue to pray for the well-being of these heroes as well as for peace and positivity as we persevere through these trying times.
