BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Lisbon, in Portugal, was inaugurated on 28 September 2014 with the blessings of Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
To celebrate the sixth anniversary of the opening, an online patotsav ceremony was organised on Sunday 27 September 2020.
More than 130 families from Lisbon and other parts of Europe joined via video conferencing facilities to participate in a mahapuja conducted by swamis at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London, UK.
A ceremony was simultaneously performed at the mandir in Lisbon by the resident pujari while devotees participated with their families from their respective homes.
The patotsav celebrations concluded with a short address by the swamis from London.
Devotees were also able to recall some of the most memorable moments of the ‘Mandir Mahotsav’ in 2014, which included the presence and blessings of Mahant Swami Maharaj.
The online celebrations provided an opportunity for devotees – who could not attend this year’s event in person due to the coronavirus pandemic – to still participate in this auspicious occasion.
