Located 20 km from the main BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Nairobi is the suburb of South Nairabi, where devotees have been conducting a regular satsang sabha since 2002.
To facilitate, the continuing growth of satsang, a new hari mandir was inaugurated there.
On 4 October 2019, at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Nairobi, Mahant Swami Maharaj performed the Vedic murti-pratishtha rituals of all the murtis.
Then, on 5 October 2019, the murtis were consecrated in the new BAPS hari mandir in South Nairobi by Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami in the presence of over 500 devotees.
