The fifteenth anniversary of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Detroit was celebrated with great devotion on Saturday August 10, 2019. Traditionally known as the Patotsav, this year's celebration was held in the presence of Pujya Gnaneshwar Swami and other Swamis. With the blessings of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, the momentous occasion commenced with a traditional mahapuja, in which well-wishers of all ages participated. Thereafter, the occasion was marked with the offering of an annakut, consisting of over 100 items prepared by devotees as a symbol of their devotion. The celebration concluded with a cultural program, including an enlightening speech by Pujya Gnaneshwar Swami.
To please His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj with a spirit of Samp, hundreds of devotees and volunteers came together to give their time and talents to create a memorable celebration. They collaborated in various teams to plan different aspects of the event, such as annakut preparation, participating the cultural program, decorations for the occasion, etc. For all in attendance, this celebration revived not only memories from Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s past vicharan but also the spirit of samp,suhradbhav and ekta in their hearts.
