BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, along with Mandir Limited, announced RSP, a Singapore-based architectural practice, as the lead consultant and designer for the BAPS Hindu Mandir. The contract was signed in the presence of over 100 guests, including the Ambassador of India to the UAE and the Ambassador of Singapore to the UAE. After the pujan and arti, the contract was signed between RSP and Mandir Limited by Mr. Lai Huen Poh and Dr. B.R. Shetty with Shri Yogeshbhai Mehta and Shri Rohitbhai Patel as witnesses.
Thereafter, Pujya Brahmavihari Swami highlighted Pramukh Swami Maharaj's prophetic vision, the Mandir's incredible importance for global harmony and expressed gratitude, “We are grateful to HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi for his generosity and India’s Prime Minister Hon. Shri Narendrabhai Modi for his integrity. This Mandir shall be a gift for generations to celebrate the values of global harmony and happiness.”
The Ambassador of India, His Excellency Navdeep Singh Suri, expressed his joy stating, “The UAE has the highest spirit of tolerance and allows people of all faiths and cultures to coexist. I actively support this BAPS Hindu Mandir, because it is our Prime Minister’s project and this Mandir shall ensure the spiritual and cultural well-being of the community at large.” Similarly, the Ambassador of Singapore, His Excellency Samuel Tan Chi Tse shared, “The entire essence of this Mandir project serves as an example of harmony in humanity.”
Mr. Lai Huen Poh, Global Managing Director of RSP, remarked, “We met by chance, but I was truly inspired to serve for the greater good through this project which is both historic and humanitarian.”
Thereafter, Dr. B.R. Shetty, Chairman of UAE Exchange, NMC and Mandir Limited articulated his happiness, “I believe in this Mandir and can feel that Pramukh Swamiji is saying that his wish has been fulfilled. It is a dream come true for all of us in the UAE and I believe that the impossible has become possible. Hence, we must all unite and collectively contribute to this noble cause.”
Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami especially sent his video blessings thanking the Rulers and leaders of both nations - India and the UAE, the Mandir Ltd. Committee, donors and contributors, well-wishers, and the volunteers for their dedication by offering his sincerest prayers for this event.
This event takes the vision of Guru Pramukh Swami Maharaj and the blessings of Guru Mahant Swami Maharaj one step closer to fruition of the historic BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi.
