Devotees from across the region participated in Satsang Shibir in Toronto, Canada from July 24 - July 25, 2017. The two-day family shibir took place in the presence of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj. Following the theme of Bhagya Jagya Re, the shibir helped understand how fortunate we are for being blessed with the company of God and His pragat, or ever-present, gunatit sant.
Senior Swamis from India explained how constantly thinking of the greatness of God and His gunatit sant helps us realize that their power and strength is enough for us to eradicate all of our base desires. They also explained how this also implies thinking of the glory of God’s devotees. This enables us to overlook people’s minor faults and develop a positive outlook on life and those around us.
Through his guidance and continuous vicharan, His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj encourages and inspires spiritual living, nurtures faith in all individuals, promotes family values and unity, and strengthens communities small and large.
Through events like this shibir, attendees can further develop their samjan (understanding), mahima (faith), and impact the community as a whole through seva (selfless service) and samp (unity). The value of spirituality passed down by Bhagwan Swaminarayan, and our Guru Parampara continues to impact the lives of countless individuals through devotion and prayer.
