On the ongoing centenary celebrations of the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir Sarangpur, Sanskruti Yatra event was organized for students of Gujarat. Inspired by Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s vision of delivering a bright future for all children, the Sanskruti Yatra took place from January 16th to February 28, 2016, in which more than 27,500 students and 1,450 teachers from all over Gujarat attended. More than 50 volunteers prepared videos, scripts, posters, booklets and exhibitions. In addition 435 BAPS volunteers from India committed their time to manage the exhibitions.
The theme of yatra was “Adarsh” or Ideal. Students participated in an interactive exhibition which laid out the principles of becoming an Adarsh Balak (Ideal Child), Adarsh Vidyarthi (Ideal Student), and Adarsh Nagrik (Ideal Citizen). Through presentations, games and dramas students were taught how to become an “adarsh balak”. Students were introduced to Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s formula for success:

Prayer + Hardwork = Success.

The Students were also taught how to become a responsible citizen and take pride in our country.
Amongst many who appreciated the efforts of BAPS, Chandresh Vadwana, a teacher at the Shianagar Prathmik Shala, said, “I see a bright future for India thanks to organizations like BAPS who put together enriching programs like this and have worked hard to educate children based on principles of discipline, culture, and moral values.”
After the exhibition the students were taken to the Pramukh Fun Fair where they enjoyed carnival rides, magic show and fun filled science experiments. At the end the kids parted by taking niyams (vows) to follow the path of becoming adarsh.
