A two day celebration was held to mark the opening of new BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir, Madhuram, in the city of Junagadh from 30-01-2016 to 31-01-2016. On 30-01-2016 morning the Nagar Yatra procession was taken out with decorated floats and in the evening various inspiring cultural activities were performed.
On 31-01-2016 a Vishwashanti Mahayagna for world peace was held wherein 120 yajmaan couples participated. Later the murtis were consecrated as per Vedic rituals by Pujya Swayamprakash Swami (Pujya Doctor Swami). The mahotsav was also graced by Mahamandaleshwar Pujya Bharti Bapu.
