As part of the celebrations for the 150th birth anniversary of Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj, a padyatra (pilgrimage by foot) was organized by women devotees from Barwala to Sarangpur. A total of 1200 women devotees from Ahmedabad participated.
The pilgrimage began in the early morning from BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Barwala, and the pilgrims reached BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Sarangpur, after walking the seventeen kilometer distance. The devotees sang kirtans and did the mala while walking, praying for Swamishri's health.
At Sarangpur, the pilgrims held an assembly and chanted the dhun, sang prarthna and kirtans and chanted the Janmangal Namavali for the good health and long life of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Thereafter all pilgrims were overjoyed with the darshan of Shri Harikrishna Maharaj and Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
