Every 12 years, a Purna Kumba Mela is held in Nasik, on the banks of River Godavari.

This year, millions of devotees and 300,000 sadhus, mahatmas and sannyasins flocked to the Kumbh Mela to bathe in the holy waters.

During the celebrations, the BAPS mandir in Nasik provided free medical aid, food, water and buttermilk to thousands of sadhus and pilgrims. An exhibition promoting de-addiction and noble living was also set up, inspiring many pilgrims to quit their addictions and lead a pure, devout life.

Over 180 BAPS sadhus visited the Kumbh Mela and participated in the special ritual bath.

Also, over 300 BAPS men and women volunteers dedicated their time and energy to serve during the Kumbh Mela.
