The UK National Kishore-Kishori Mandal Shibir was held in the presence of Sadguru Pujya Mahant Swami (Keshavjivan Swami), Sadguru Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami, Pujya Atmaswarup Swami and visiting sadhus from India on Sunday 6 September 2015 at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London.

Entitled ‘Niyam, Nishchay, Paksh’, the event brought together youths from across the country who were enlightened on the importance of spiritual observances, faith and loyalty through a programme of discourses, presentations as well as interactive discussions.

Ishwarcharan Swami explained the principles of an ideal devotee drawing from the Vachanamrut and the teachings of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. This was subsequently supported by Paramseva Swami who narrated inspiring examples of such devotees.

Mahant Swami then elaborated upon the fundamentals of faith, also providing practical guidance on how a youth in today’s world can develop faith in God. An insightful video presentation and discourses by other sadhus explored this concept further.

A panel of sadhus, devotees and volunteers then presided over an interactive session where delegates were asked a series of intropsective questions, who then responded by voting electronically. The real-time collecting of responses provided an opportunity for further discussion, which included inspiring real-life examples of youths who have demonstrated strong spiritual ideals in challenging circumstances.

The concluding session brought together the elements of loyalty, drawing upon the life of Shastriji Maharaj in his quest to propagate the eternal truth of the Akshar Purushottam upasana. Mahant Swami and Ishwarcharan Swami addressed the gathering again, encouraging everyone to foster greater unity within the fellowship and to realise these higher spiritual truths.

An emotive video presentation of cherished moments with Swamishri during his previous visits to London provided a fitting finale to the event. Kishores and kishoris departed with renewed motivation to excel in their spiritual and personal lives.
